The Pan African Ornithological Congress Scientific Committee warmly invite participants to the 15th congress, to be hosted by Birdlife Zimbabwe in the vibrant town of Victoria Falls. An exciting range of Keynote presentations, Symposia, Round Table Discussions, and Social events is planned. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet old friends and colleagues and to make new ones. We hope to have wide participation from across Africa and beyond, and we are pleased to offer opportunities for presentations in both English and French.
We invite you to look at the list of Symposia and consider submitting an abstract for an oral or poster presentation linked to the symposia. If you wish to propose a presentation that doesn’t fit within them, please do submit it anyway using the category “Other” in the drop-down list, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. Of course, you may just prefer to participate without submitting anything. Either way, we hope for active participation from one and all.
The call for Round Table Discussions is also open.
We especially welcome students, who without doubt are the future of African ornithology and the conservation of African birds and their habitats. We believe that successful conservation is underpinned by sound science, good management and community engagement, and we hope that our upcoming congress can make a positive contribution through sharing ideas and giving a unique platform to ornithologists working across the African continent.
We look forward to seeing and listening to as many of you as possible in Victoria Falls.
