Never go too long without watching a sunset (Atticus)

The fifteenth Pan-African Ornithological Congress will kick off on Sunday 20 November 2022 at 18h00pm with a Welcome Reception comprising sundowners and canapes on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Greet old and new friends and colleagues as the setting sun sets fire to the sky and gilds the river in shades of liquid gold. Take in the sights and sounds of dusk – the silence over the river, the grunt of hippos, the silhouettes of egrets and cormorants winging their way to roost or a Back-crowned Night Heron flying low over the water and if you are lucky, an African Finfoot swimming unobtrusively along the banks of the river.  Watch the stars emerge as darkness descends in a glittering display against the inky black softness of the night sky.
