Advertising and Sponsorship

Some of the funding for PAOC15 will be sourced from registration fees paid by the Congress delegates. However, to ensure high attendance, it is essential that the registration fee be affordable. This will only be possible if funding is secured for the various components of the Congress budget. See below.

Sponsorship opportunities available are as follows: (Quoted in USD)

1. Translators and Simultaneous

Translating Equipment $6,000.00

(Simultaneous Translation will be provided in English and French.)

Breakdown of $6,000.00 as follows:

Simultaneous Translating Equipment: $2,400.00

Translators: $3,600.00

Benefits as follows:

  • Your organization becomes an official co-sponsor and your logo will automatically feature on all marketing and event communication.
  • Ten minutes programme space at the Opening Ceremony.
  • Special mention in the Opening and Closing programme of events and Awards programme.
  • 2 registrations free of charge.
  • Digital Branding.
  • Distribution of promotional materials (to be supplied by sponsor).
  • Opportunity to place banners and other promotional materials at designated points.
  • Company logo to be placed on the PAOC website home page 12 months before the Congress.

2. Welcome Cocktail Event $7,500.00

Benefits as follows:

  • Your organization becomes an official co-sponsor and your logo will automatically feature on all marketing and event communication.
  • Ten-minute address as official host at Welcome Cocktail Event.
  • Special mention in the Opening and Closing programme of events and Awards programme.
  • Two invited guests at the Welcome Cocktail event.

  • Distribution of promotional materials (to be supplied by sponsor).
  • Company display at the Welcome Cocktail Event including 2 x banners.

3. Boma Dinner & Drum Show $15,000.00

Benefits as follows:

  • Special mention in the Opening and Closing programme of events and Awards programme.
  • Two invited guests at the Farewell Boma Dinner.
  • Digital Branding.

4. Contribution to Mid-Congress Excursion $15,000.00

Benefits as follows:

  • Your logo will feature on all marketing and event communication.
  • Acknowledgement in the Opening programme of events and Awards programme.
  • Branding at the registration area.
  • Distribution of promotional materials (to be supplied by sponsor)
  • Opportunity to place a banner at a designated point at the venue.

5. Hire of Meeting Rooms $12,200.00

Naming Rights to a Venue:

(4 conference rooms)

Main Plenary (limited to one company) – $5,000.00

Three Side Rooms  – $2,400.00 each

Benefits as follows:

  • Naming rights to the relevant room. Sponsor’s name posted on the door next to the relevant auditorium.
  • Sponsor’s name in the relevant column in printed booklet with programme.
  • Branding at the Registration area.

6. Preparation and Translation of Abstract Booklet and Printing of Programme $1,200.00

Benefits as follows:

  • Your logo will feature on all marketing and event communication.
  • Acknowledgement in the Abstract Booklet and Printed Programme.
  • Acknowledgement in the Opening programme of events and Awards programme.
  • Branding at the registration area.

7. Development and Maintenance of Website – $3400

Benefits as follows:

  • Your Logo will appear on the PAOC15 website
  • Branding at the registration area.

8. Brand Handout Sponsorship

T-shirts – $3,000.00  Logo on back of shirts  (450 T-shirts)

T-shirts – $1,500.00  Logo on one sleeve of shirts (450 T-shirts)

Delegate Bags – $3,000.00 Logo on Bags. (300 bags)

Water bottles – $1,500.00 Logo on Water bottles. (300 bottles)

Name Badges – S1,000 Logo on Name Badges. (300 Name Badges)

9. Inserts into Delegates Bags $500

Each delegate receives a package with all the PAOC congress information and give-away items. Receive exposure at PAOC15 by including your insert in the delegate packs for a donation of USD500. Inserts are limited to a 2 page A4 document.

10. Student Sponsorship: $20,000.00

$800.00 per student (includes registration, accommodation and return transport to the venue each day of Congress.). Air travel varies from $400 – $1400 depending on country of residence. For the continued study of ornithology, BirdLife Zimbabwe would like to ensure the attendance of at least thirty students at the Congress. In addition, we wish to ensure representation from ornithologists from low-income backgrounds and would like to provide discounts and scholarships.

The organisers welcome funding towards the general running of the conference without designating it to a specific aspect/item.

Sponsorship Conditions

Payment for sponsorship opportunities is due on presentation of invoice. All artwork, banners, branding and logos must be provided by the sponsors, with full artwork and creative aspects completed.

Birdlife Zimbabwe does not relinquish any rights of ownership to sponsors of the conference by arranging sponsorship opportunities and retains the right to approve of all media and press releases pertaining to the conference.
